Requirments to Join:
Cost: FREE!
You must have a valid driver's license, and own a Off-Road capable Toyota. Must have a valid Email address.
If you're under 18, you'll need to have a waiver signed by your parents or legal guardian before each and every trail run.
Rules for TTORA events:
1. NO ALCOHOL WHILE ON THE TRAIL Consumption of alcohol on the trail will result in immediate termination of membership privileges!
2. NO DRUGS AT ALL. There will be no drugs at TTORA Events at all. If drugs are found to be at a TTORA event, it will result in immediate termination of membership privileges!
3. ALL MEMBERS WILL CARRY themselves in a safe and respectable manner both on and off the trails when representing TACOMA TERRITORY OFF-ROADERS ASSOCIATION. Remember, you are a representative of our club and your actions can impact our club as a whole.
4. WEAR YOUR SEAT-BELT. We encourage people to obey the park laws and always wear their seat belts!
5. RIGHT OF WAY. Generally whoever has the more difficult direction has the right of way. The probability of encountering other traffic is 100%. If you encounter traffic on a hill, the up hill driver should get right of way.
6. NO LITTERING. Please take your trash with you. Do not throw your cigarettes out of your vehicle. If you see trash that is not yours, pick it up. Try to keep the trails and camping areas cleaner then they were before.
7. MAINTAIN A HEALTHY VEHICLE. Check if any of your fluids are low. Make sure you have enough power steering fluid, oil, coolant, and windshield washer fluid. Check your brakes often; you may need to replace the pads/shoes. Check your headlights and taillights.
8. ALWAYS CARRY APPROPRIATE SAFETY AND TRAIL GEAR. (detailed list of recommended safety equipment will be posted in the Trail Section information)
9. MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO STAY ACTIVE. To remain active you must do one of the following at least once every 3 months
Participate and Post on the InTTORA Forums
Participate in a local WAT or meeting
Attend a InTTORA trail run
If you have special circumstances that prevent you from meeting active membership requirements please email InTTORA President, VP, webmaster, or your so you will not be purged. Every 3 months the roster is checked and purged of members that are inactive.
10. WHEN OFF-ROADING, all members will respect the TREAD LIGHTLY policy by using only approved trails. Always keep the vehicle behind you in sight but at a safe distance in case of a problem.
11. WHEN OVERNIGHT CAMPING trips occur, you will ensure that all fires have been put out, and practice pack in/pack out.
12. The chapter president has full authority to allow or disallow any membership for any reason at any time. As well as disallow current member from joining TTORA events if actions prompt such response.
